A Streetcar Named Desire - Sound Design Ableton Session

I wanted the SFX I made to be usable in a live theater environment. This part of my Sound for Visual Art project was completed on Ableton Live.

There are a few different ways to conduct a theater show with Ableton Live which I have shown below!

Channel Strip clips.

This is a basic form of playback, however it is effective. This means playing and stopping the clips will be done manually.

Sampler Instrument

I initially used a drum rack sample pack for this, I replaced the drums with the SFX I created. This means the samples can be triggered by MIDI or clicking the samples in the pack which some may prefer.

MIDI Clips.

This is on the same MIDI channel as the sampler instrument. This means I can cue the sounds on the grid and prepare the show.

Ensure Warp and Loop are Turned Off

To avoid issues with audio quality and playback, I ensured warp and loop were turned off in preferences and next to the wave forms.
